No board installing aid works this well on ceilings.The guide blade on the centre of the tools butts against the existing board for rapid positioning and one screw fixes it into the joist. To support a full sheet fix one at the end and side to hold up the sheet, once the sheet is screwed in remove the boardmates and continue.

A. On site field testing has measured increased productivity levels in some cases exceeding 100%. In many situations Boardmate enables tasks to be undertaken single handed that would ordinarily require a second person.
Q. How will Boardmate help to install board on ceilings.
A. With a Boardmate in place on one edge of the previously fixed board you can rapidly and accurately position the next board as Boardmate provides full support to one edge of the new board. When a pair of Boardmates are employed so that two edges are supported, the remaining weight of the board can comfortably be managed by one hand. Once a strategic fixing is made, both hands are then free to check alignment and make any final adjustments before the remaining fixings are driven home.
Q. Is Boardmate suitable for sloping linings.
A. With a pair of Boardmates in place on the previous board, the next board is quickly and accurately located and held in place along the lower edge. Once again the board can easily be held in place with one hand.
Q. Is Boardmate suitable for vertical linings.
A. By employing a pair of Boardmates, one at the top of the long edge and one in the middle of the short edge of the previously fixed boards, the new board is rapidly located and held securely leaving both hands free.
