365 Diamond Drill set £50.00 £44.95

Do you need to cut holes into very hard materials? We produce diamond drilling kits for the construction industry, supplying professional installers, tilers, plumbers and builders.

Although diamond is expensive it delivers superior results compared to carbide by cutting quicker and easier through very hard material such as large format porcelain tiles, marble, travertine, solid granite worktops as well as softer material such as ceramics, glass, fiberglass, mirror, pottery, and many others.

Perhaps you are involved in a commercial installation such as an airport, hotel, restaurant or retail outlet. Or installing a domestic bathroom or kitchen. Our tile drills are the ideal solution for cutting the very hardest tiles including porcelain.

We manufacture the toughest diamond tile drills for professional installers including tilers, plumbers, builders, construction workers, electricians, commercial shop fitters and more...

Guaranteed not to chip, damage or break expensive materials including large format tiles, marble, travertine, granite work-tops, porcelain, flooring, fiberglass fitted or unfitted - Even ceramic tiles, pottery, mirrors, glass and aquariums!

dril tiles

The average bathroom needs up to thirty holes!

Our kits improve installation time helping you to achieve neater, faster results. No broken tiles reduces waste and saves money for both you and your client.

tile drills

At our factory here in Enlgand we produce a full range of over thirty kits to drill every size hole from standard to bespoke. But our best seller is the all-in-one solution containing seven tile drills in five popular sizes plus our flexible non-slip guide plate critical for accurate drilling.

Fixtures & Fittings: The four smaller drills at 6mm and 8mm are used for rawl plugs to fit mirrors, cabinets, sinks, hooks etc.

Service Pipes: The larger drills (bottom of pack) cut elegant holes for standard "service pipes" such as radiator pipes, shower heads, sink waste etc.

A Perfect Project Solution! Patent application 0601484.9

"This value for money kit priced at £49.99 provides an easily quantifiable cost that can I can add to my customers’ invoice" Andy Alpin - Commercial London Tiler

tiler Are your carbide bits burning out quickly? Our Diamond core tile drills [rated MOHS class ten] are ninety times harder than Ruby source and ideal for hard porcelain tiles [rated MOHS class five] what this? so will last much longer and are price competitive to save you money. We never source conflict or blood diamonds what are conflict diamonds?

Patent application 0601484.9 protects our IP rights for a METHOD and APPARATUS.

To prevent drill slip each kit below 70mm is supplied with our flexible guide plate. This essential item uses friction to grip the material firmly via gel pads at the back.

It requires no adhesive pads, suction or mechanical device to hold it in place making it simpler to use.

Apply pressure with your finger and thumb then hold.

drill hard tiles Reduce pressure to release.

There are clear advantages in using a guide plate that combines non-stick gel pads and friction compared to adhesive, mechanical and suction devices. To use the guide simply and quickly attach to a material, use for purpose, then rapidly detach and use again and again.

  • The guide plate has pads that grip dirty, wet, rough and uneven surface and it can flex to grip curved shapes.
  • Grip is adjustable. Control it by increasing or decreasing pressure to suit different surfaces.
  • Gel pads are reusable allowing the guide to be used many times unlike sticky pads which lose adhesive and must be replaced.
  • Upon removal it leaves no residue, or glue marks, rim marks, or suction damage.
  • Gel pads are non stick so do not pull, move or "suck" freshly laid tiles or tile grout.

The guide plate permits drilling at any angle including awkward ones, in spaces very high up or very low down, close to tile edges, over tile edges either grouted or ungrouted. You can drill over preexisting holes. The plate is flush not bulky so can be used in confined spaced such as behind pedestals or inside voids.

The guide deletes any need for expensive extras like arbors, messy water jets, water bottles, pumps, sticky glue, adhesive pads, suckers, hoses and other attachments in order for it to work.

Clients - treat yourself or your project-installers to these. Installers will be very impressed with both you and the product!

Installers - impress your clients by cutting holes quickly, neatly, easily and on site. No need to outsource this job any more! Tile shops and Trade - . If you sell porcelain tiles then help your customers. Diamond is now as affordable as carbide and most important - it works! Ask us why our £49 system is better than drilling rigs with internal arbors costing over £299. We supply the most comprehensive size range of drill cores.

Ideal for projects using materials such as:

To prevent slip all diamond drills MUST be used with an anti-slip gel plate
drilling hard tiles

Without a non-slip plate the cores will skid and scratch your expensive tiles. Why risk it?

guide plate

It will not rust or scratch your material or drills. It cushions the diamonds to protect them during drilling unlike metal which can be harsh, abrasive and inflexible. Our drill plate will last for many many holes. It does not rely on clumsy suction pumps so will not fall off off the wall if placed over grout lines. Lets you get into awkward places.

We removed the center pilot to bring you

three major benefits

A

REDUCE YOUR COSTS: At a cost of £25+ for each center pilots they expensive to buy and replace. By removing them we dramatically reduced your drilling costs! Our competitors are charging hundreds of pounds for their arbor and center pilot drilling rigs.

pilot drill
porsadrill

No need for center pilots at £25+ each

B

NO MESS: Because center pilots are only made of carbide steel (not diamond) water must continuously be jetted over them to keep them cool pumped via an arbor and water bottle. Water bottles and arbors cost you money. By removing the pilot we eliminated this step saving you even more money, cutting down on water consumption and cutting down on bulky extra items and clutter. All that water had to go somewhere which means a clean up job after each hole.

Remember the reason competitors must continuously pump a jet of water is because their pilots are made of carbide not diamond.

shower
pump

No need to continuously pump water!

C

SAFETY: Items may be hidden behind a tile such as plastic or copper water pipes, electrical cable etc. And so when using pilot drills it is possible to accidentally pierce an undetected item. This would also add cost to remove tiles and material and add time to make repairs.

bathroom

drill holes

In contrast it is not possible to pierce a pipe with our system because you are grinding a hole - not drilling it - therefore you do not penetrate any further than the tile.

How does the 365drill system work?
365drills
pack

If you think about it, pre-drilling a center hole was always a waste of your time, energy and money. So we resolved the guidance problem in a special way. Our drill plate firmly holds the crown from the outside not the inside using friction. This breakthrough - developed exclusively by us - puts the diamond crown into direct contact with the drilling surface so only the portion of tile being drilling is removed and nothing else.

No center pilot = Low costs for you | Efficient drilling less water | Wont pierce hidden items

You can easily achieve professional results above: We made it easy for you!

Caution: Do not confuse our tile drills with "brick drills". Brick drills (see an example below) might appear "beefier" because there is more metal - but to drill tiles you actually want less metal and more diamond. Our crowns are made of ultra thin metal with maximum diamond. Remember its diamond doing the work not metal. Metal actually gets in the way so gets hot. When it gets hot it releases the diamonds.
brick drills
Examine the diamond drill with the green tick. This is our own porcelain tile drill placed next to a brick drill and can be identified because it has an ultra thin wall design to penetrate hard material. In contrast the sturdier looking drills have more metal surface area but hold less diamond. We are often asked by customers to supply thicker drills for porcelain work. But chunky drills with low diamond content do not work in porcelain, granite or glass - only bricks. There are drills for porcelain made with more metal but they have a higher diamond content and cost many hundreds of pounds. If in any doubt when comparing our brand to alternatives please look for the statement "porcelain tile drill" to be sure you are selecting the right product.

"The growth of the hard tiles market continues unabated: Consumption of porcelain tiles alone is predicted to double in the next 10-15 years. And not only is the demand for hard tiles growing, the trend for 'floor to ceiling' tiles is equally strong" c4carbides

The trend continues for good quality well designed tiles. Bigger tiles are now widely accepted and tile showrooms have noted customer demand for luxury "hotel quality" type of installation. For example the contemporary floor to ceiling and wet room look. However many DIY hobbyists and even professional tilers are put off attempting this sort of finish.

Some professional tilers refuse these jobs fearing both the cost of material at prices of £40psm+, and their extra hard properties. Be assured with our product this is no longer a problem for you. We provide full instructions and everything you need to make holes.

Until now holes were cut with industrial diamond drilling rigs with internal arbors costing upwards of £300 each or outsourced to specialist companies off the site. For example a tiler would pay about £20 per hole to a specialist company £36 for granite. If you are a DIY-er or a professional only used to ceramics then we just made it easy for you to move into porcelain, granite and other such hard finishes.

Installers be brave! The future is contemporary and clients are willing to pay extra for "floor to ceiling" luxury. And at less than the cost of a takeaway our bathroom fitters kit is fantastic value plus a throwaway "one job" price. Why leave a £300 drilling rig in the van for someone to nick ! Other systems look more like an operating theater with water pumps, clamps, special drills and contraptions. You are drilling a hole not performing a heart bypass.

If you are still not convinced they work then read our customer feedback. The good news is others already bought it, tried it and can tell you about their experience. Treat yourself to a kit, get an offcut from a tile center and give it a go. We ask you to buy it and try it once...! Our diamond equipment will help you achieve the best results and you will be using a set of these on every installation job.

We have many repeat installers coming back to us. And when they price jobs for customers they build these into the job. Why should you have to outsource this task? Let us help you complete the task yourself - onsite - and earn from it! Interestingly for a typical bathroom up to 30 holes can be required for one installation. What you charge your client per hole is a matter for you. But remember to consider wall fixings and simple items such as:

  • Toilet roll holder
  • Shower door / frame
  • Mirrors
  • Wash Basins
  • Pipe Brackets
  • Towel Rails
  • Waste Pipe
  • Tooth Brush Holder
  • Blinds
  • Curtains
  • Soap Dish

  • Radiators
  • Cupboards
  • Lights

"Companies charge £36 per hole for granite worktops or £20 per hole for tiles"

We are aware local hire shops supply diamond drilling rigs for £56 per day plus diamond costs. They supply you with the rig and a selection of industrial diamond drill bits which you pay only for what you use. So your final bill would typically be a weekends hire of 2x £56 ( £112) plus diamond usage of about £50 and don't forget to add on VAT in the UK. So in total for a weekend hire you can count on spending about £200. plus your valuable time and petrol for collection then return. In contrast we will save you time and money by offering a value for money disposable "use them a few times" system. Of course another advantage our products give you over rental - is that you don't need to return anything.

It may sound obvious but when you hire something - you have to take it back and that costs you time!

Our products are designed to be used on one job only - Simple, cost effective, Easy to use and disposable. - And professional

Installers love this system because they know their job costs, can tell the customer and build it into the job cost and it also allows them to take on these premium paying luxury finish projects.

Expected tool life about 2 to 6 holes per drill bit in very hard material . More if used on a drill press used with plenty of water

drill kits

Here comes the science bit !
grid girls

Don't bother trying to use anything made of carbide or like this on the right. You will waste your time, effort and money.

Tiles produced today are much harder than this tool can cope with which is why you need a diamond hole cutter.

Materials are now "Class 5" on the Mohs scale. Our diamonds are "Class 10".

Diamond drills are used on glass, stained glass, ceramics, ceramic tile, porcelain, porcelain tile, limestone, marble, granite, slate, stone and fiberglass. Drills used on wood or metal have a sharp metal tip or teeth, that cut into the material. These types of drills do not work on glass, marble, etc. as the tips do not "bite" into the extremely hard material, and cause heat buildup that burn up the bit and cause "heat fractures" in the material. Carbide tipped Spear Point drills are sometimes used on the "softer" types of hard materials - like untempered glass, sandstone and marble and some of the less hard ceramic and porcelain tiles. While they sometimes work, they tend to chip the hard surface very badly, leaving a rough hole and often cause breakage due to fractures from the chipping and heat. Diamond drill bits are designed differently - they have diamond tips that "grind" into the extremely hard materials.

pilot drills

Core drills only drill out a portion of the resulting hole, so they tend to drill much faster than blunt nose drills. Core drills can be used to drill large holes and can be used on most nonferrous hard materials such as glass, stained glass, ceramic, porcelain and fiberglass, ceramic or porcelain tile, limestone, slate, marble, granite and other stone materials. Bonded diamond drill bits have the diamonds bonded to the the edges of the drill bit tip, generally using an electroplate bonding process. These drill bits are generally slow-speed bits and are fairly inexpensive. During use, the diamonds eventually wear off of the bit due to the hardness and abrasives of the material being drilled. Bonded diamond drill bits must not be used on metal, concrete, or masonry and require proper speed and adequate water lubrication.

The life of any type of diamond drill bit depends upon the hardness, abrasiveness and thickness of the material being drilled and the specific drilling techniques used (drill speed, pressure and lubrication), however, the diamonds of a drill bit don't actually wear out as much as they wear off due to heat and friction caused by the extreme hardness and abrasiveness of the material drilled. Drilling in glass, ceramic, marble, etc. is a slow process compared to softer materials such as wood or even metal. A fairly deep hole can be drilled in wood in just a few seconds, while it can take 20 or 30 seconds or longer to drill a hole in standard 1/8" thick glass. In some very hard stones and tiles, it may take 2 to 3 minutes to drill only 1/4" deep. Using diamond bits to drill in hard materials is not difficult, however, it takes time. A person should consider that they aren't 'drilling' a hole, as much as 'grinding' a hole.
